In a major move towards return to pre-pandemic life, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eased virus restrictions for vaccinated people on Thursday. The new guidelines allow them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor events.
“Today is a great day for America,” President Joe Biden said during a Rose Garden address about the event.
The guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor areas such as homeless shelters, buses, planes, hospitals, and prisons, but will help with reopening workplaces and schools, even eliminating the need for social distancing.
