Advisory Comittee to meet to discuss vaccine use for people under 18

“The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) is meeting to discuss a recommendation for the use of J&J/Janssen’s COVID-19 vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 in persons aged 18 years and older.” According to the CDC.

This may mark a significant change in the path towards curbing the spread of covid 19. Until now, vaccines have only been distributed to adults in the United States.

The Johnson and Johnson single dose COVID-19 vaccine recently got emergency use authorization.

Moderna and Pfizer are both testing their vaccines for use on children.
